Russia gives powers to FSB to prosecute ‘thought crime’

The Russian security service has been given extended powers to act against people for so-called “thought crime” under a new law which opponents say marks a return to Soviet-era policing.

The bill, criticised by rights groups, would allow the Federal Security Service (FSB) to issue official warnings to individuals whose actions are deemed to be creating the conditions for crime.

Rights groups say the bill would essentially put the special service above the law and harks back to Soviet times when the much-feared FSB predecessor KGB used warnings to persecute dissidents.

Tulane researchers indicate COREXIT now in blue crab larvae from Florida to Texas; Bio-accumulation fears

Intel Hub

Blue Crab Sample

A  report today from Fox 8 in New Orleans reveals that the “orange blobs found lodged in the bodies of tiny blue crab larvae collected from marshes that stretch from Texas to Florida” appear to contain Corexit, according to preliminary results from researchers at Tulane University.

The report says BP’s dispersant “may do more harm than the oil itself.”

University of New Orleans’ Martin O’Connell, Ph.D said, “No one really knows” if Corexit will bio-accumulate. “If you’re a small fish and you eat 1,000 of these small crab larvae and all of them have oil or Corexit droplets in them they could get into the fish — that little fish could be eaten and so on and so on.”

Pondering the future of the Gulf, O’Connell said, “I think they should be more concerned that we might be losing whole cohorts of these animals when they’re very small, and we won’t see the impact in the adults but three or four years from now.”

Mossad assassins paid by US firms

Implicated in the assassination, Israeli citizen Uri Brodsky (C) covers his face as he is escorted into court in Warsaw, Poland.

US investigators say American companies paid money to the suspects behind the Israeli-masterminded assassination of a senior Hamas official.

American cyberspace companies have been named among the firms that transferred money to the alleged hitmen behind the targeted killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh — the co-founder of the Hamas resistance movement’s armed wing, known as the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades – on January 20 The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.

CCTV camera footage, caught in a Dubai hotel, where the operation took place, has led the emirate’s police to put the names of more than two dozen suspects on the international wanted list.

The Dubai police have identified 13 US-issued debit-card accounts used by the suspects into which money was deposited.

Police say evidence confirms the involvement of the Israeli spy agency, Mossad, in the operation.

Earlier in the year, The Sunday Times reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “gave his authorization” for the assassination.

The discovery that the death squad used British, Irish, French, German and Australian passports caused a political predicament for Tel Aviv which ended in the expulsion of its diplomats by Dublin and Canberra.

Poland recently denied Israel’s request to extradite an Israeli man, named Uri Brodsky, who has been accused of providing the assassins with the only German passport used in the murder.

Dangerous Conspiracy Theories

By:  Peter Chamberlin

The Eye of Conspirators

How could a bunch of “lone wolf” researchers be considered dangerous to the United States?  The official explanation given is that we confuse those who hear or read what we have to say, undermining the national unity and trust in government which is necessary to wage war.  That is as good an excuse as any to explain why the American people have not rallied around this war of terror.  The national unity that politicians whine about was achieved only once in the beginning of this war, before the politicians and the corporations revealed the war for what it has always been–a war to control oil and gas.

The great danger posed by conspiracy theorists is that we will finally wake the people up to the fact that we have been deceived, in order trick us into allowing the armed forces of the United States to be used as a mercenary force, an army of conquest, to be used to rob the people of Asia of their God-given natural resources.  The danger of the “conspiracy theorist” is that he will awaken the people from their trance-like slumber which binds them,  trapped somewhere between the waking world and the dream state.   In this state, most of us meekly “support the troops” as they mercilously clear the ground of resisters to the great conspiracy.  The danger is that we will shock them and turn their thoughts toward  this ugly reality of the waking world.

WikiLeaks Posts Mysterious ‘Insurance’ File

By Kim Zetter

In the wake of strong U.S. government statements condemning WikiLeaks’ recent publishing of 77,000 Afghan War documents, the secret-spilling site has posted a mysterious encrypted file labeled “insurance.”

The huge file, posted on the Afghan War page at the WikiLeaks site, is 1.4 GB and is encrypted with AES256. The file’s size dwarfs the size of all the other files on the page combined. The file has also been posted on a torrent download site.

WikiLeaks, on Sunday, posted several files containing the 77,000 Afghan war documents in a single “dump” file and in several other files containing versions of the documents in various searchable formats.

Cryptome, a separate secret-spilling site, has speculated that the new file added days later may have been posted as insurance in case something happens to the WikiLeaks website or to the organization’s founder, Julian Assange. In either scenario, WikiLeaks volunteers, under a prearranged agreement with Assange, could send out a password or passphrase to allow anyone who has downloaded the file to open it.

It’s not known what the file contains but it could include the balance of data that U.S. Army intelligence analyst Bradley Manning claimed to have leaked to Assange before he was arrested in May.

Activists warned that speaking to media could lead to jail

OPP seeks to silence alleged G20 protest ringleaders
Activists warned that speaking to media could lead to jail

The OPP have warned two alleged G20 protest ringleaders that their recent media interviews are a violation of bail conditions not to organize, participate or advise protests. On the morning of July 28, OPP officers called their sureties and threatened to re-jail them if they persist in speaking to the media.  Leah Henderson and Alex Hundert were released on bail on Monday July 19, three weeks after they were arrested at gunpoint in a pre-emptive nighttime raid on their Toronto home.

“There could hardly be a clearer indication that the police are trying to silence the voices of these organizers at all costs.  Alex and Leah refuse to be intimidated from speaking out about their experiences and the daily injustices perpetrated against our society’s most marginalized communities,” says Faraz Shahidi, their supporter and member of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG – Toronto).

Leah and Alex recently appeared on CBC radio, Toronto Sun, Vancouver Media Co-op,  and Rabble decrying the politically-motivated nature of the charges against them and calling on all people to support Indigenous communities, poor people, precarious migrants, and communities under occupation in the face of attacks by the leaders and policies of the G20 on their lands, livelihood, and health.

“Freely expressing opinions is not illegal. These violations of the right to free speech and the freedom of the press to speak to G20 defendants have a grave impact on all of us,” said Ryan White, a lawyer with the Movement Defense Committee.

As casualties in Afghanistan rise, Army suicides, drug use set new records

By Bill Van Auken

As US military fatalities in Afghanistan hit a new high in July, the US Army issued a report exposing record suicides, drug use and other signs of deep demoralization among its ranks after a decade of colonial-style wars.

Another six US troops were killed in a series of four separate attacks across southern Afghanistan on Thursday and Friday, bringing the total death toll for the month to at least 66. This follows the previous high set last month of 60. Both were at least double the average number of fatalities for the first five months of this year.

But even as the casualties in Afghanistan soar, the number of suicides and other violent non-combat deaths among US Army soldiers is rising even more steeply.

The Army’s 350-page report issued Thursday, titled “Health Promotion, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention,” placed the suicides in a broader context of dangerous behavior among soldiers, including rampant drug use, drunk driving and violent crime.

The report was commissioned after the rate of suicides among active duty Army personnel rose higher than that of the general population in 2008. While the civilian rate was 19.2 per 100,000 people that year, it was 20.2 per 100,000 for Army personnel. Traditionally, the suicide rate in the Army has been considerably lower than that in the general population, and the current rate is more than triple that which existed in the Army prior to 2001.

In the last fiscal year, the Army recorded 239 suicides among both active duty soldiers and reservists. Out of these, 160 were active duty soldiers. Meanwhile, another 146 active duty deaths were attributed to what the report calls “high risk behavior”. More than half of these deaths—74—were caused by drug overdoses. The report notes that the number of accidental deaths among soldiers has also tripled since 2001.

Together, suicides and so-called “high risk behavior” killed more soldiers during the year than combat in Afghanistan and Iraq.

During the same period, according to the report, there were 1,713 suicide attempts by Army soldiers.

The report does not deal with the suicide rate among veterans, which is considerably worse than those still in the Army. A 2007 study estimated the suicide rate among male veterans aged 20 to 24 at four times the national average—more than 40 per 100,000 per year.

The report is remarkably frank about the horrendous impact of the Army’s involvement for nearly nine years in the US colonial-style wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In assessing the rising suicide, drug abuse and crime figures, it refers to the “effects of working under an unprecedented operational tempo for almost a decade.”

“We now must face the unintended consequences of leading an expeditionary Army that included involuntary enlistment extensions, accelerated promotions, extended deployment rotations, reduced dwell time and potentially diverted focus from leading and caring for soldiers” who, the reports states, “have been pushed to their breaking point.”

The report states that ideally soldiers should receive 36 months of “dwell time” —stationed at their home base in the US—for every year of deployment to a combat zone. It acknowledges, however, that the escalating war in Afghanistan and the continued occupation of Iraq make such a rotation schedule impossible in the foreseeable future. Currently, soldiers receive less than two years at home for every year sent to war.

“The force is becoming increasingly dependent on drugs”….

Police filmed dragging women and babies during protest

By Thair Shaikh, CNN

London, England (CNN) — A video has emerged showing French police evicting African immigrants with babies and children during a housing protest in a Paris suburb.

Police arrived in the north-east Parisian suburb of La Courneuve last Wednesday and asked a group of about 60 mostly women and children to move, said Michael Hajdenberg, a journalist with the French media organization Mediapart.

The group had been living in the street since being evicted from their council homes on July 8 to make way for a new housing project, he said.

When the group failed to respond to the request, Hajdenberg said police officers forcibly removed them.

Authorities had offered to accommodate them for a short period in hotels, but Hajdenberg said the immigrants wanted more of a long-term guarantee of places to live.

The video shows police dragging away women with babies and young children. In one scene a woman with a baby wrapped to her back is dragged along the pavement while screaming and shouting.

Obama to Make $85 Million from Gulf Disaster. Obama: Just Another (B)anking (P)irate!

“Goldman Sachs wasn’t alone either in its astute “foreknowledge” of the collapse of BP’s stock value due to the Gulf disaster as BP’s own chief executive, Tony Hayward, sold about one-third of his shares weeks before this catastrophe began unfolding too.

But according to this FSB report the largest seller of BP stock in the weeks before this disaster occurred was the American investment company known as Vanguard who through two of their financial arms (Vanguard Windsor II Investor and Vanguard Windsor Investor) unloaded over 1.5 million shares of BP stock saving their investors hundreds of millions of dollars, chief among them President Obama.

For though little known by the American people, their President Obama holds all of his wealth in just two Vanguard funds, Vanguard 500 Index Fund where he has 3 accounts and the Vanguard FTSE Social Index Fund where he holds another 3 accounts, all six of which the FSB estimates will earn Obama nearly $8.5 million a year and which over 10 years will equal the staggering sum of $85 million.

Definition of Austerity – Severe and rigid economy: wartime austerity. The War is on Us Folks. Time to Fight Back!

By Neil Foster

Don’t you just love ‘austerity measures’? You better do because they’re set to get worse according to today’s Irish Independent who report that we’re not poor enough yet so more and more taxes will have to be stolen from the people to pay the bankers.

http://www.independent.ie/opinion/columnists/brendan-keenan/brendan-keenan-pressure-grows-for-a-tougher-budget-2279882.html

They don’t say that in so many words but the sentiment is the same; screw the public at all costs because if we don’t they might get the wrong idea and think things are improving and that their illustrious leaders are doing a fine job which they are of course but not for us. Their banker New World Order paymasters will think they’re doing a great job for them as they continue to rape us all of every semblance of wealth we ever managed to scrape together for ourselves and our families.

The politicians of course will continue to live the high life as the sheeple simply comply and utterly capitulate to these scumbags we put in positions of power and whom we allow to abuse us at every turn.

Why do we put up with it? Did we cause the banks to collapse? Do we deserve this abuse? NO!

What will it take before people decide that they’ve had enough?

Perhaps empty supermarket shelves might just do the trick but sadly people are more likely to start complaining if their TV is switched off or they can’t get down to the bookies to bet on a multimillionaire’s horse rather than complaining about the real issues such as basic survival.

What are you going to do if you go to do your weekly shop at Tescos only to find it closed? What are you going to do when the petrol shuts its doors?

This is coming folks so you better start getting angry and pointing the blame for your troubles squarely at the people responsible, namely the bankers but we can’t get to illumined ones so we have to go for the politicians who are doing their bidding.

They are clearly not working for us when their sole aim seems to be to impoverish the nation and everyone in it by giving every Euro of our wealth to the bankers who will live even higher on the hog with our compliant servitude to their system.

We are rapidly becoming, if we’re not already there, total SLAVES to these parasites. We need to start fighting back in whatever way we can legally and without violence.

Israel violates Lebanon’s airspace

Israeli spy planes violate Lebanon’s airspace.
The Lebanese army has announced that Israeli reconnaissance aircraft have violated Lebanon’s airspace for the third time in a week.

The planes flew over towns in southern and western Lebanon on Friday.

The event was the latest in a series of violations occurring within the period of one week. Israeli military planes had also flown over Lebanese airspace on Sunday and Thursday.

The recent incidents stand in clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended Israel’s 33-day war against Lebanon in 2006.

The resolution obliges Israel to refrain from entering Lebanon’s sovereign territory.

Tension between Lebanon and Israel has increased in recent months as Beirut arrested several people on suspicion of spying for Tel Aviv.

Dozens of people, including members of Lebanon’s telecommunications personnel, were arrested since last year on suspicion of collaborating with the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

GORDON DUFF: WIKI-LEAKS IS ISRAEL, LIKE WE ALL DIDN’T KNOW

A different view of Wiki-Leaks…

LAME “LEAK” SITE NOTHING MORE THAN THIN COVER FOR “THE TEL AVIV TANGO”

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

Now “Wiki-Leaks” is busy selling phony bin Laden stories, having the long dead Osama humiliating the CIA by running around villages in Afghanistan selling vacuum cleaners.  What is our “leak” site really about?  This is a dead news cycle.  The World Cup is over, lots of people on holiday and no major stories.  Only in a dead news period like this, as Oliver Stone pointed out, could the Israeli controlled media dump a pile of lame rumors mixed in with box loads of chickenfeed, passing it off as the story of the century.

Even the cover story, the mysterious Assange fleeing the murderous CIA, working to save the world is lame.  WikiLeaks is lame.  Please, everyone, go to the site and read everything there.  I have seen more confidential information on a weather report.  Assange is hardly a James Bond figure.  Woody Allen is masculine in comparison.

Journalists all get leaks, and frankly, we don’t print most of them.  Some we can’t trust.  Some are just too dangerous.  Some are simply illegal.  Some are blatantly self serving Israeli propaganda coated with a veneer of anti-Americanism.  This is “Wiki-leaks” material.  What is important is what they don’t print.  The only things that come out about Israel, the country most vulnerable to leaks, the country always up to the most skulduggery, is an occasional harmless story like their major leak on East Jerusalem settlements.  It hit the New York Times first.

When you read Mr. Assange’s output, you are looking at one of the Mossad games, nothing more.  They send some stories to Fox News, some to CNN, some to the Washington Post or London Times.  They have their pick as their friends and co-workers own those outlets and so many more.  The game today is using Wikileaks, given its 15 minutes of fame for trashing the US in Iraq with the helicopter video, to spread imaginary stories about Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Middle East capable of standing up to Israel and the enemy of India.

India is what it is all really about.  Israel is playing India for a fall, drawing them into their games they way they did with the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan.  India will wake up with their government bought off, blackmailed, up to their neck in wars and insurgencies at home and fighting Israel’s enemies abroad.  India is the next real target for rape, destruction, destabilization by Israel and our “Wiki-leak” is part of that game.

Another chosen victim, of course, is the United States, hated enemy of Israel, not for public consumption, however.  Check the names of those who looted the American economy.  In the top dresser drawer of 80% of those who took the US into bankruptcy, you will find an Israeli passport.

Did anyone ask why nothing was reported in 90,000 pages regarding the massive drug dealing in Afghanistan?  With stories in the press around the world reporting that President Karzai and his brother are the biggest druglords in the world, why would this not be mentioned?  Is it because Karzai is a good friend of the Indo-Israeli alliance that runs Wiki-leaks?

Food: The Ultimate Secret Exposed – MUST WATCH

Confirmed: Obama authorizes assassination of U.S. citizen

Confirmed: Obama authorizes assassination of U.S. citizenWikipedia

Anwar al-Awlaki

In late January, I wrote about the Obama administration’s “presidential assassination program,” whereby American citizens are targeted for killings far away from any battlefield, based exclusively on unchecked accusations by the Executive Branch that they’re involved in Terrorism.  At the time, The Washington Post‘s Dana Priest had noted deep in a long article that Obama had continued Bush’s policy (which Bush never actually implemented) of having the Joint Chiefs of Staff compile “hit lists” of Americans, and Priest suggested that the American-born Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki was on that list.  The following week, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, Adm. Dennis Blair, acknowledged in Congressional testimony that the administration reserves the “right” to carry out such assassinations.

Today, both The New York Times and The Washington Post confirm that the Obama White House has now expressly authorized the CIA to kill al-Alwaki no matter where he is found, no matter his distance from a battlefield.  I wrote at length about the extreme dangers and lawlessness of allowing the Executive Branch the power to murder U.S. citizens far away from a battlefield (i.e., while they’re sleeping, at home, with their children, etc.) and with no due process of any kind.  I won’t repeat those arguments — they’re here and here — but I do want to highlight how unbelievably Orwellian and tyrannical this is in light of these new articles today.

Just consider how the NYT reports on Obama’s assassination order and how it is justified:

The Obama administration has taken the extraordinary step of authorizing the targeted killing of an American citizen, the radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is believed to have shifted from encouraging attacks on the United States to directly participating in them, intelligence and counterterrorism officials said Tuesday. . . .

American counterterrorism officials say Mr. Awlaki is an operative of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the affiliate of the terror network in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. They say they believe that he has become a recruiter for the terrorist network, feeding prospects into plots aimed at the United States and at Americans abroad, the officials said.

It is extremely rare, if not unprecedented, for an American to be approved for targeted killing, officials said.  A former senior legal official in the administration of George W. Bush said he did not know of any American who was approved for targeted killing under the former president. . . .

“The danger Awlaki poses to this country is no longer confined to words,” said an American official, who like other current and former officials interviewed for this article spoke of the classified counterterrorism measures on the condition of anonymity. “He’s gotten involved in plots.”

No due process is accorded.  No charges or trials are necessary.  No evidence is offered, nor any opportunity for him to deny these accusations (which he has done vehemently through his family).  None of that.

Monsanto: The evil corporation in your refrigerator

When we consider the rogue’s gallery of devilish, over-sized, greedy and disproportionately powerful corporations, we generally come up with outfits like Microsoft, Bechtel, AIG, Halliburton, Goldman-Sachs, Exxon-Mobil and the United States Senate. Yet somehow, Monsanto, arguably the most devilish, over-sized, greedy and disproportionately powerful corporation in the world has been able to more or less skulk between the raindrops — only a household name in households where documentaries like Food Inc. are regarded as light Friday evening entertainment. My house, for example. But for the most part, if you were to ask an average American for their list of sinister corporations, Monsanto probably wouldn’t make the cut.

It should.

Founded by Missouri pharmacist John Francis Queeny in 1901, Monsanto is literally everywhere. Just about every non-organic food product available to consumers has some sort of connection with Monsanto.

Anyone who can read a label knows that corn, soy and cotton can be found in just about every American food product. Upwards of 90% of all corn, soybeans and cotton are grown from genetically engineered seeds, also known as genetically modified organisms (GMOs). These genetically enhanced products appear in around 70% of all American processed food products. And Monsanto controls 90% of all genetically engineered seeds. In other words, Monsanto controls — and owns patents on — most of the American food supply.

When you consider, as Walletpop originally reported, that one-in-four food labels is inaccurate, that the F.D.A.’s testing is weak at best, then how can we trust one corporation to have so much control over our produce? The answer is, we can’t.

Recently, a study by the International Journal of Biological Sciences revealed that Monsanto’s Mon 863, Mon 810, and Roundup herbicide-absorbing NK 603 in corn caused kidney and liver damage in laboratory rats. Scientists also discovered damage to the heart, spleen, adrenal glands and even the blood of rats that consumed the mutant corn. A “state of hepatorenal toxicity” the study concluded.

PC Joe Public: Now YOU can go on the beat: Unprecedented police shake-up will see unpaid civilians patrol with bobbies

By James Slack

In the biggest shake-up of policing for 50 years, ministers want the public to patrol alongside beat bobbies.

They also intend to recruit up to 50,000 extra special constables to flood crime-plagued neighbourhoods with an army of volunteers.

And villages will be protected by a new breed of ‘police reservists’, modelled on part-time firemen and the Territorial Army.
Overhaul: Theresa May says the reforms will make forces more responsive and end the 'job for life' culture Overhaul: Theresa May says the reforms will make forces more responsive and end the ‘job for life’ culture

The coalition government yesterday set out plans for communities to ‘reconnect’ with police forces which have disappeared behind their desks, engulfed by a flood of red tape.

But the radical reforms are already being dismissed by Labour as ‘policing on the cheap’ and a fig leaf for cuts in fully sworn officers.

Home Secretary Theresa May said her plans were ‘the most radical reforms to policing in at least 50 years’. She also announced:

  • The introduction of directly-elected police commissioners with the power to sack chief constables, along with the prospect of elected U.S.-style prosecutors
  • The creation of a National Crime Agency to ‘tackle organised crime and protect our borders’
  • Regular beat meetings in supermarkets and old people’s homes to hold officers to account
  • ‘Virtual’ get-togethers on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter
  • A bonfire of health and safety regulations that tie police in red tape

(NaturalNews) The President’s Cancer Panel (PCP) recently released its yearly report to the President outlining the status of cancer in America.

by Mike Adams

(NaturalNews) The President’s Cancer Panel (PCP) recently released its yearly report to the President outlining the status of cancer in America. This year’s report focuses primarily on environmental factors that contribute to cancer risk. According to the report, pharmaceutical drugs are a serious environmental pollutant, particularly in the way they continue to contaminate waterways across the country (and the world).

Many reports have recently appeared about pharmaceutical contamination of water supplies, rivers, lakes and other waterways, but spokespersons from the drug and chemical industries have denied that this pollution poses any risk whatsoever to the environment. But this report, issued directly from PCP, provides a stunning indictment of the dangers associated with pharmaceutical pollution.

The executive summary of the PCP report includes the following statements:

“[P]harmaceuticals have become a considerable source of environmental contamination. Drugs of all types enter the water supply when they are excreted or improperly disposed of; the health impact of long-term exposure to varying mixtures of these compounds is unknown.”

The terrible truth about the “good war”

Nicole Colson explains why the classified Pentagon documents on Afghanistan released by WikiLeaks present a damning portrait of who is suffering from the U.S. war.

Occupation troops invade homes in Kandahar (MCpl. Robert Bottrill)

THE RELEASE of more than 92,000 classified documents relating to the war in Afghanistan by the muckraking Web site WikiLeaks has left the Obama administration and its war partners trying to defend the indefensible.

Along with making the documents available on the Internet on July 25, WikiLeaks took the further step of providing the archive of material to the New York Times, Britain’s Guardian and the German magazine Der Spiegel several weeks prior to the wider release–so these media outlets were ready with in-depth articles about what the documents revealed.

The Obama White House was quick to denounce the WikiLeaks release. At first, it claimed that the documents didn’t reflect the reality of the war, since they only run through last December–before the implementation of Obama’s “surge” plan announced late last year.

When it was clear that no one bought that one, administration officials turned to criticizing the release for putting “national security” in jeopardy–while also claiming that the documents were “old news” and didn’t really reveal anything that wasn’t previously known (leading to the question of why the documents were classified in the first place.)

This last point was surely damage control–the WikiLeaks documents vividly expose the disastrous state of the U.S. war on Afghanistan.

Italy’s Berlusconi government racked by scandals and growing tensions

By Marianne Arens

There has been a steady stream of protests in Italy in recent weeks against the so-called manovra—the austerity package proposed by the government of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, aimed at saving €25 billion over the next three years. The Italian parliament, in which the Berlusconi coalition parties form the majority, is due to ratify the package in August before the annual summer holidays.

Demonstration in Rome last October against Berlusconi’s decree muzzling freedom of speech (PHOTO: Silvia Marinelli)

The government plans to slash 60,000 jobs in the public sector alone. All workers currently with temporary contracts will be made redundant. Only one in five new vacancies will be filled. In the health service, 156,000 jobs are at risk and similar waves of redundancies are expected in other areas of private industry and public service.

A series of days of action have followed the one-day general strike on June 25. The trade unions have gone to great lengths to ensure that the protests are limited to individual occupations, thus thwarting the development of a mass movement that could threaten the government. There have been successive, isolated protests by public servants and social workers, teachers, lecturers, students, rail workers, bus drivers, doctors and nurses, farmers and even policemen, judges and public prosecutors.

The protests against the cuts also coincide with broad discontent against another reactionary draft law—the so-called bavaglio—Berlusconi’s new proposals for surveillance legislation. Amongst those joining a series of rallies, media and Internet protests have been prominent publishers, directors, journalists and artists, such as the dramatist and Nobel Laureate Dario Fo.

Manmade Climate Change, Nope Not CO2, Manmade in the USA!

Russians Fear US is Testing Climate Weapon

Russia’s official news agency, RIA Novosti, reported on July 29 that the high temperatures that have affected Europe and central Russia for the past month have led local experts to wonder they may be attributable to some secret weapon now being tested by the United States.

Gueorgi Vasiliev, a professor in the Physics Department at Moscow’s Lomonosov University, told the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper that disasters have befallen the world ever since 1997 when, he said, the US put its HAARP radio apparatus into operation.

According to RIA-Novosti, the radio transmitters in Alaska are “very powerful tool for influencing the ionosphere. Some military experts are inclined to think that it is a geophysical weapon.” The report goes on to say that Professor Vasiliev also believes that the US would not have invested two decades and $250 million if its purpose is to merely study high-frequency radio waves.

Pay More for Less – Fuel Poverty on the Way as Eco-Fascism Takes Charge

Householders face a £300-a-year rise in their gas and electricity bills and significant cuts in how much energy they use if Britain is to “keep the lights on” and meet its climate change targets, the “Government” has said. Actually, this is that fool Huhne, who has said people would have to make “ambitious” cuts in their own consumption.

So, what he is proposing is that we should use less electricity and pay substantially more for it, ending up with higher bills despite cutting consumption. As a motivational message, this is little short of moronic, although we’ve stopped wondering what these people do for brains.

The worst of it is that Huhne is almost certainly under-estimating the costs. Earlier estimates have gone as high as £5,000 a year for our energy bills.

The Cancer Triggers are in the Vaccines, the Food and the Water! They’re Not in Your ‘Bad Genes’!

By Neil Foster

Ask anyone with half an ounce of common sense what would happen if mice with suppressed immune systems were injected with genetically altered cells known to cause cancer and I’m sure 100% of those questioned would come up with the obvious answer; Surprise, surprise! The mice would get cancer.

http://www.independent.ie/world-news/prostate-cancer-trigger-identified-2278319.html

So why is it that this is supposedly a breakthrough in prostate cancer research?

The truth is that it isn’t. It’s just another article pointing to ‘defective genes’ later in the article as the ‘real’ cause of prostate cancer and is just another eugenics promotion piece which the mainstream media has pushed over the past few months which I’ve written about before because they all follow the same pattern of ultimately blaming the root causes on ‘bad genes’ for a variety of illness.

http://www.sovereignindependent.com/?p=5397

How many of these junk science articles need to be published in the mainstream before people start to take notice that everything is being blamed on so called ‘bad genes’ and that this will become a medical diagnosis to justify sterilisation and abortion?

That’s what all this bogus pseudo science is about. It will be used to target the poor and vulnerable in our society such as the mentally and physically handicapped who will be classed as ‘defective’ in the eyes of the state and be deemed a burden to society.

This is nothing new and is certainly not something that went away after the demise of Stalin and Hitler who used the same pseudo science to justify mass murder and horrific ‘medical’ experiments on those they selected as being ‘feeble minded’ or ‘unfit’

An American Stasi?

The surveillance state.
by Wendy McElroy, The Freeman

The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reported on July 25 that “there are 72 fusion centers around the nation, analyzing and disseminating data and information of all kinds. That is one for every state and others for large urban cities.”

What is a fusion center?

The answer depends on your perspective. If you work for the Department of Homeland Security, it is a federal, state, local, or regional data-coordination units, designed to improve the sharing of anti-terrorism and anti-crime data in order to make America safer. If you are privacy or civil-rights advocate, it is part of a powerful new domestic surveillance infrastructure that combines data from both the public and private sectors to track innocent people and so makes Americans less safe from their own government. In that respect, the fusion center is reminiscent of the East German stasi, which used tens of thousands of state police and hundreds of thousands of informers to monitor an estimated one-third of the population.

The history of fusion centers provides insight into which answer is correct.

Fusion centers began in 2003 under the administration of George W. Bush as a joint project between the departments of Justice and Homeland Security. The purpose (pdf) is to coordinate federal and local law enforcement by using the “800,000 plus law enforcement officers across the country” whose intimate awareness of their own communities makes them “best placed to function as the ‘eyes and ears’ of an extended national security community.” The fusion centers are hubs for the coordination. By April 2008 there were 58.

The growth has continued under the Obama administration. Indeed, Obama has also continued Bush’s concealment of domestic intelligence activity by threatening to veto legislation that authorizes broader congressional oversight or review of intelligence agencies by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). As a result of that threat, the GAO provision was removed from the Intelligence Authorization Act.

Due to secrecy, it is difficult to describe a typical fusion center. But if the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center is typical, this is what one looks like.

Indiana’s center has essentially become an arm of Indiana law enforcement…. It has 31 full-time staffers and two part-time employees. Some … are state employees. Others are assigned to the center from other agencies, such as the FBI, Transportation Security Administration, and Marion County Sheriff’s Department. They are joined by workers from the Department of Correction, the Indiana National Guard, the Indiana State Police, the Department of Natural Resources and local campus police…. There are also private sector analysts on contract. Previously those analysts were from EG&G Technical Services of California. The most recent contract with EG&G called for payment of $1.1 million….

“Protocols of Zion”– Damage Control

By Henry Makow Ph,D.

Mankind is slipping into a permanent coma according to a diabolical plan that has been public knowledge for over a century.

When The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” were leaked in the 1890′s, Masonic Jewish bankers did effective damage control.

They tricked the gullible goyim into believing it was a “forgery” written by “anti-Semites.”

The bankers couldn’t exactly admit the truth, that they were enslaving humanity, could they? ( Their whole system is based on deception and secrecy.)

Thus they turned the disaster into an advantage by using it to incite more “anti-Semitism.”

In the Protocols, they boast that anti-Semitism is used to “manage our lesser brethren.” They fund anti-Semites to ensure that all Jews are blamed.

By linking their demented conspiracy to all Jews, they used them as Trojan horse, human shield and human sacrifice. Many gentile anti-Semites oblige by blaming all Jews regardless of individual responsibility. (And these critics have great moral pretensions.)

I speak for Jews who oppose this secret plan which was concocted by Cabalist bankers and rabbis centuries ago and revised periodically.

These self-appointed Jewish leaders have put all Jews in jeopardy. They  are establishing their world tyranny by stealth — manipulating current events, re-engineering society and controlling perception.

On-duty cop caught on video stealing money from Cafe!

Sources: On-duty cop caught on video stealing from Pat’s Cafe

Pat’s Cafe, a tiny corner bar in the Lower Northeast, is regarded as something of a sacred space by local residents and men and women in blue.

It is the place where Officer Gary Skerski, a beloved community-relations cop, lost his life when he interrupted an armed robbery on a warm spring night four years ago. An old wreath, a pair of decaying roses and a few small candles still mark the spot outside the bar, at Castor Avenue and Arrott Street, where Skerski was gunned down.

Imagine, then, how cops and locals felt yesterday when word spread that an on-duty police officer stole money from the bar’s safe early Tuesday, law-enforcement sources said.

The cop, who was joined by another on-duty officer and a third man in civilian clothes, hung out in the empty bar for about 40 minutes, watched TV and even drank beer, the sources said.

Russian Court Bans YouTube Website

Court in Khabarovsk region orders internet provider Rosnet to block YouTube over ultra-nationalist video

YouTube The regional ban was made because YouTube hosted Russia for Russians, an ultra-nationalist video. Photograph: The GuardianRussia‘s blogosphere reacted with anger today after a regional court banned YouTube because it carried a single video containing “extremist” content.

The court in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Khabarovsk region in the Russian far east ordered Rosnet, a local internet provider, to block YouTube as well as three online libraries and a website that archives deleted web pages.

The regional ban was made because YouTube hosted Russia For Russians, an ultra-nationalist video which was added to the justice ministry’s federal list of banned extremist materials after a separate court decision in Samara region in November.

The other four sites – Web.archives.org, Lib.rus.ec, Thelib.ru and Zhurnal.ru – all carried copies of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

Anton Nosik, Russia’s leading internet guru, condemned the decision. “The level of crassness in this court ruling is typical of legal proceedings concerning the internet in Russia,” he said. Google, the owner of YouTube, said the ruling violated Russians’ constitutional right to freedom of information.

Many bloggers also decried the ban, warning it could be a slippery slope to tighter censorship across the country.

“I can imagine it now,” wrote Ghost82 on LiveJournal. “Russia in 2015, YouTube is banned everywhere. In search of a gulp of air, people travel to the border with Georgia where they will sit with their laptops and pay unimaginable sums to connect to the internet via powerful Wi-Fi transmitters for a taste of depraved western civilisation.”

Alexander tweeted on RuTvit: “YouTube has been given to understand that Russia, Pakistan and North Korea have much in common.”

An engineer with Rosnet said the company had suggested prosecutors should contact the portals concerned directly to request they take down the offensive material, rather than issuing a blanket ban. “They [prosecutors] remained deaf to these pleas,” he told the Gazeta.ru news website. Rosnet is appealing the ruling.

While television is tightly controlled by the state, Russia’s soft authoritarian government has so far done little to rein in the internet. Social media and blogging sites are popular and provide a vital outlet for opposition and civil movements.

However, a package of laws to be reviewed by parliament in October could give the security services new powers to close down sites at short notice.

The YouTube ruling is likely to be an embarrassment for President Dmitry Medvedev, who recently launched his own channel on the video-sharing site.

Other countries that have banned YouTube include China, Pakistan, Turky and Iran.

Sheeple: Why They Are The Way They Are…

By Giordano Bruno

Neithercorp Press

For years, perhaps even decades, the Liberty Movement or elements of it have been waging a relentless and arduous battle; a painful and sometimes demoralizing struggle with no end in sight. This battle has consumed some people’s lives with few victories to speak of, making them bitter and indifferent to the fate of their fellow man. I speak not of our fight with Global Elites bent on centralized control of every country in the world, but of our fight with the average know-nothing American; our next door neighbor, our fellow employees on the job, even our own family members. The very same people we have recently come to term “Sheeple.”

Part Of The Herd

For people in the Liberty Movement who are privy to so much background knowledge of world events, it is often tempting to immediately label those people who have not yet been exposed to the facts as “Sheeple,” but this is not always the case. At one point or another, every one of us in the movement were completely unaware of the big picture, or had only a very vague impression of what Globalists were and how they manipulate the political and financial underpinnings of our society. Were we also Sheeple? If not, then what set us apart from others who did not take the initiative to learn more?

The fact is, it takes more than simply “not knowing” to be a part of the herd. It takes a special kind of willful ignorance.

When members of the Liberty Movement were first confronted with the reality of the “New World Order” (termed by global elitists, not us), we perhaps scoffed at first, but our intuition told us to look deeper, and we listened. Sheeple, on the other hand, are people who are confronted with the truth consistently, perhaps even daily, yet make the internal decision to ignore it, to block it out completely, to consciously make the decision that they will not even consider the possibility of the information’s validity. In psychology this level of denial is often associated with mild to very severe forms of mental illness, and in a sense, that’s exactly what Sheeple suffer from. Let’s examine further…

Did You Build Your Own World View, Or Was It Made For You?

Do you actively participate in the expansion of your own world view, or do you just parrot the talking points you hear on your favorite television news channel? Take honest note of what opinions you express and how you express them. How often do you repeat word for word what you hear from others? How often do you say only what you think other people want to hear? How often do you actually formulate your own conclusions on a subject based on facts you researched for yourself, instead of heard from someone else?

The problem is that many American’s are barely involved in the making of their own perspective, and this reflects a complete lack of interest in their own self awareness. In order to create one’s own world view, one must take interest in himself. This sounds vain, but taking interest in ones self also includes one’s failings and weaknesses; a frightening prospect for some people. Many decide that the pursuit of self knowledge is either too much work, or too painful to face, and instead choose the “path of least resistance,” become apathetic, and allow their environment to tell them who they are and what they believe. This creates a level of suggestivity akin to hypnosis, and the results on a mass scale can be horrifying. In a society of apathy, whoever controls the expressed world view of the general environment controls the world view of the people in it. The Mainstream Media accomplishes this task spectacularly.

Sun Could Set Suddenly on Superpower as Debt Bites

By Niall Ferguson

We have been raised to think of the historical process as an essentially cyclical one.

We naturally tend to assume that in our own time, too, history will move cyclically, and slowly.

Yet what if history is not cyclical and slow-moving but arhythmic, at times almost stationary, but also capable of accelerating suddenly, like a sports car? What if collapse does not arrive over a number of centuries but comes suddenly, like a thief in the night?

Great powers and empires are complex systems, which means their construction more resembles a termite hill than an Egyptian pyramid. They operate somewhere between order and disorder, on “the edge of chaos”, in the phrase of the computer scientist Christopher Langton.

Such systems can appear to operate quite stably for some time; they seem to be in equilibrium but are, in fact, constantly adapting.

But there comes a moment when complex systems “go critical”. A very small trigger can set off a phase transition from a benign equilibrium to a crisis.

Complex systems share certain characteristics. A small input to such a system can produce huge, often unanticipated changes, what scientists call the amplifier effect.

Empires exhibit many of the characteristics of other complex adaptive systems, including the tendency to move from stability to instability quite suddenly. But this fact is rarely recognised because of our addiction to cyclical theories of history. The Bourbon monarchy in France passed from triumph to terror with astonishing rapidity. The sun set on the British Empire almost as suddenly. The Suez crisis in 1956 proved that Britain could not act in defiance of the US in the Middle East, setting the seal on the end of empire.

What are the implications for the US today? The most obvious point is that imperial falls are associated with fiscal crises: sharp imbalances between revenues and expenditures, and the mounting cost of servicing a mountain of public debt.

Think of Spain in the 17th century: already by 1543 nearly two-thirds of ordinary revenue was going on interest on the juros, the loans by which the Habsburg monarchy financed itself.

Or think of France in the 18th century: between 1751 and 1788, the eve of Revolution, interest and amortisation payments rose from just over a quarter of tax revenue to 62 per cent.

People Begin Living Without Electricity and Water in California

People Begin Living without Electricity and water in California

I couldn’t find statistics for local utility shut offs in my area, but I knew we would start to see more and more of this.

Houses everywhere are going vacant. People don’t say goodbye, they don’t leave a number, they just disappear. With their disappearance we add another vacant house to the street. But families living in housing without utilities is a new sight for me to behold. I spoke recently with a rep from So Cal Edison who, full time contacts residence who have had their electricity turned off due to non payment. She has a negotiator sent in and they work on a reduced payment. It’s amazing to me, that now, it is becoming acceptable in California to camp out in your home.

People are losing their homes, losing their cars and losing their dignity. How are we going to afford kids clothes and school supplies for the coming year? How can we expect families to pay for all these additional costs when the economy is in the shape it in. I ask myself this everyday.

The “new normal”: More than one in five Americans at risk of destitution

By Barry Grey

More than one in five Americans in 2009 suffered a household income loss of 25 percent or more over the previous year, according to a new report sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation and entitled “Economic Security at Risk.” The report documents a steady increase in economic insecurity since the 1960s, and concludes that annual income losses of 25 percent or greater increased by 49.9 percent between 1985 and 2009.

“Putting this trend in terms of population,” the report states, “approximately 46 million Americans were counted as insecure in 2007, up from 28 million in 1985.” The head of the research team that prepared the report, Yale University Professor Jacob Hacker, told an interviewer, “What we’re seeing, basically, is what we’re calling ‘the new normal.’ We’re slowly ratcheting up this level of economic insecurity.”

The research group has devised what it calls the Economic Security Index (ESI), which measures the share of Americans in a given year who experience at least a 25 percent decline in their available household income and who lack a financial safety net to replace the lost income. Such a sudden income drop—usually due to the loss of employment, high medical expenses, or a combination of the two—often leaves people facing destitution.

The report does not include 2010, when long-term joblessness has become endemic. The ESI for this year will doubtless be considerably higher than for 2009.

The Weaponisation of Culture Part 3 – Military and Police used as a Cultural Weapon.

By Sally Exoudhu.

First, the military and police are an unfortunate temporary expense. In the new upgraded transhuman, posthuman, post-democratic order they are to be either culled or re-engineered. That is a fact!

Standard sample letter to friendly military/police personnel:

Dear military person or police officer,

We, the taxpaying public appreciate the fact that you have joined the force for protecting, the general public, from fascism. You have joined with honourable intentions. However, we notice sadly that the force has been taken over by fascists at the highest levels, and that you are unwittingly being manipulated into becoming pawns in the process of establishing a brutal Police State. Your superiors are conspiring against you and turning you against us, the very people you initially signed up to protect.

In Nazi Germany and Soviet countries, people swore allegiance to their psychopathic leaders. They were used as pawns to attack the public. You have not sworn allegiance to any ‘great leader’, yet you have been manipulated into a position whereby your job is to treat civilians as if they were terrorists, criminals and lowlife. Any country that accepts this is not a country worth living in, I am sure you will agree.

Please bear in mind your own children and grandchildren who will be living in the Police State. You have been harvested, duped and are being used, unwittingly as a weapon against your own children and against the decent, honest, hardworking, taxpaying people who make this country what it is.

The real criminals and assailants are at the top of, what is clearly a corrupt pyramid of power, using you as – dare I say it – useful idiots, to further their agenda of corruption. We find this an insult to your integrity!

There is one word for these criminals and one word only.

THEY ARE TRAITORS.

They are committing the crime of treason, and pulling the wool over your eyes, and ours. Treason is the most serious crime imaginable. It amounts to the murder of an entire country, your country, my country. It is the handing over of a country to an enemy. It amounts to the tearing up of the constitution, for which our ancestors fought and died. We are not blaming you, as you and we, are the victims of an entire complex mechanism, a web of lies and deception, and we believe the traitors are training you to not trust the public, and treat all with suspicion. This is a socially, and scientifically designed system to divide-and-rule everyone, leading to a total breakdown and debasement of our cherished society, with everybody spying on everybody else – a psycho-political technique perfected in, and imported from, the Soviet Union.

Those of us (including you) who know about the treason are complicit in the crime, and are ourselves automatically guilty of the crime of Misprision of Treason, for which we could go to prison. Therefore, it is our solemn duty as upstanding citizens to report the criminals, and see to it that the twisted manipulating perpetrators of the treason pay the price. The police and military need to wake up to the treason, stand up, blow the whistle and speak out on behalf of the innocent people whom they have initially signed up to protect. Should this involve a mutiny within the force, so be it!  Such a mutiny would be rightful and just, and in the interest of integrity, morality and future generations. We feel that our only hope is to reach the human element within the military and police.

Respectfully Yours

Signed …………

Bankers Bury Their Snouts Deeper in the Trough as Assets to be Plundered with OUR Money!

By Neil Foster

Don’t you find it a bit strange that a bank being investigated for fraud, which the taxpayer is bailing out with billions of Euro is now taking over one of the oldest biggest department stores in Dublin with your money?

How can this happen when these crooks won’t even tell us where all the money went that we kindly handed over to them thus ensuring utter slavery for generations to come?

The truth is, we’re being screwed but then I probably don’t have to tell you that. I think it’s pretty obvious even to the Fine Fail coterie of partisan voters out there who must surely be starting to realise that they are going to lose everything too as the IMF crooks rape the country of even more wealth, including state assets to fill the coffers of their criminal mafia bosses, namely the international bankers.

Even David McWilliams, you know, the guy who can do no wrong when it comes to predicting the collapse of the economy and now a climate change guru to boot, is now saying that to sell state assets at bargain basement prices is a mistake.

Well, I might not be an ‘economic expert’ like Mr. McWilliams but to be honest I don’t have to be to see that selling state assets at bargain basement prices is a mistake. But let’s face facts here it isn’t a mistake at all. It’s a deliberate act of plundering which has been planned for some time by the IMF, World Bank etc to ensure that every nation is raped of its wealth and brought to its knees in line with the plans of the elite bankers who have deliberately crashed the world economy.
