Tony Blair was warned by his government’s chief law officer that an invasion of Iraq would be illegal the day before he privately assured President George Bush he would support US-led military action, documents released today by the Chilcot inquiry reveal.
They provide an unprecedented insight into how Lord Goldsmith, then the attorney general, repeatedly warned the prime minister of the potential consequences of invading Iraq without fresh UN authority – much to Blair’s irritation.
Goldsmith changed his view shortly before the invasion on 20 March 2003.

Israel is expected to broaden the powers of an internal inquiry into the botched raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla in May in the wake of a barrage of claims that its investigation lacks any credibility. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, appeared to cave in to domestic pressure after the committee was mocked in the Israeli media as a whitewash designed to defend the assault on 31 May that resulted in the death of nine Turkish nationals. A photograph of one 93-year-old panellist in his pyjamas looking at documents drew particular derision.
The panel, headed by Jacob Turkel, an Israeli Supreme Court justice, opened its inquiry on Monday. Mr Netanyahu’s office said in a statement that Mr Turkel had requested that the investigating commission be empowered to summon witnesses to give testimony under oath. “There is no reason not to give positive consideration to this request,” the statement said. It added that the government would consider a separate request to expand the committee. According to Channel 2 TV, Mr Turkel threatened to resign if Mr Netanyahu did not widen the panel’s powers. Sources close to Mr Turkel refuted the claim.

In the Irish media today, namely The Irish Times and The Irish Examiner, we are told that the recession is over and recovery is ‘just around the corner’ AGAIN.
We’re also told that this will be a ‘jobless recovery’ with further job losses expected before things get better.
Well, if you believe that nonsense I’ve got a fantastic sundrenched beach on the growing ice packs of Antarctica to sell you.
How on earth can there be anything called a jobless recovery? The simple answer is that there can’t!
When the people are plunging further and further into debt, losing their jobs and homes, being utterly screwed by huge increases in taxes to pay back the corrupt bankers and simply struggling to get by from day to day, how on earth can there be any kind of recovery when Joe Public hasn’t got a brass farthing to spend on anything other than survival?
Food prices are on the rise as are energy prices, not simply due to the fraudulent high prices being asked by the multinational oil giants, but also the addition of likewise fraudulent ‘carbon taxes’ based on the bogus ‘theory’ of ‘climate change’. Indeed Ireland has the 2nd highest food costs in Europe.

The Hydra-like creature, Goldman Sachs, has surfaced from the Gulf oil volcano.
Illinois-based Nalco Corporation is responsible for the Corexit 9500 chemical dispersant highlighted by experts as being 4 times more toxic than the oil that is flowing into the Gulf. Scientists in congressional hearings added that the dispersant is more toxic than other similar dispersant on the market. Naturally, whenever a major disaster takes place — especially when major, society-altering solutions are being offered — one needs to follow the trail of money and power to see who benefits. Sure enough, a casual search of Nalco’s Web site reveals their company history; it leads right to the doorstep of Goldman Sachs.
Nalco seems to have started in 1928 Chicago and became immediately involved in both the oil industry and water treatment facilities. 1982 seems to have been a massive turning point for the company as their Web site states, “ORS-419 is used in the tires of the Space Shuttle Columbia. The Nalco product is the only non-silicone product of its type on the market approved by the space shuttle tire’s manufacturer.”

Crazy talk about the Middle East seems to be escalating, backed up by some pretty ominous military deployments. First, the department of scary statements:
First up, Shabtai Shavit, former chief of the Israeli spy agency Mossad, speaking June 21 at Bar Ilan University, Tel Aviv on why Israel should launch a pre-emptive strike at Iran: “I am of the opinion that, since there is an ongoing war, since the threat is permanent, since the intention of the enemy in this case is to annihilate you, the right doctrine is one of presumption and not retaliation.”
Second up, Uzi Arad, Israeli prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s national security advisor, speaking before the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem June 22 on his belief that the “international community” would support an Israeli strike at Iran” “I don’t see anyone who questions the legality of this or the legitimacy.”
Third up, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi speaking to reporters at the G-8 meeting in Toronto June 26: “Iran is not guaranteeing a peaceful production of nuclear power [so] the members of the G-8 are worried and believe absolutely that Israel will probably react preemptively.”
Fourth up, Central Intelligence Director Leon Panetta predicting on ABC’s “This Week” program June 27 that Iran could have two nuclear weapons by 2012: “We think they [Iran] have enough low-enriched uranium for two weapons…and while there is continuing debate [within Iran] right now about whether or not they ought to proceed with a bomb…they clearly are developing their nuclear capacity.” He went on to say that the U.S. is sharing intelligence with Israelis and that Tel Aviv is “willing to give us the room to be able to try to change Iran diplomatically and culturally and politically.”
Pope launches team to ‘re-evangelise’ the West
The Pope launched a team to stem the secularisation of Catholic countries and “re-evangelise” the West.
Benedict XVI announced the creation of a new Vatican department dedicated to tackling what he called “a grave crisis in the sense of the Christian faith and the role of the Church.”
He expressed deep concerns that previously staunch Catholic countries in Europe and North America were facing “the eclipse of a sense of God”. Tens of thousands of worshippers are deserting the Church over issues such as clerical sex abuse and the ban on married priests.
“I have decided to create a new body with the aim of promoting a renewed evangelism,” in countries that are going through “progressive secularisation of society”, the 83-year-old Pope said.
The new department, to be called The Pontifical Council for New Evangelisation, will try to reinvigorate belief among Catholics in rich, developed countries – or, in the pontiff’s words, “find the right means to re-propose the perennial truth of the Gospel.”
It is expected to be led by an Italian archbishop, Rino Fisichella, who as head of the Pontifical Academy for Life is the Vatican’s top bioethics official.
Congregations in the West have fallen dramatically and faith in the Church has been hard hit by a series of high-profile scandals involving the sexual abuse of children by paedophile priests.

MSNBC’s Ratigan: Stock market an ‘obviously corrupt’ fraud
On his afternoon show Tuesday, MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan explained why he believes the usual explanations given in the media for why the stock market went up or down on a given day are nonsense.
“Seventy percent of the volume [of trades on the stock market] is computers that are run by the banks playing ping pong with stocks for 10 seconds at at time,” Ratigan said.
“The stock market at this point, which used to be a reflection of the future value of actual businesses in this country, has been turned by our government and our banks into little more than a paper shredding facility [about which] we can make up reasons why it goes up and down,” Ratigan said. “But when the computers … at the banks are controlling the action, most everything else is kind of silly.”
Ratigan concluded that it’s time to create an “alternative investment structure” that would allow people to invest their money without putting it “into the obviously corrupt stock market in this country.”

Mister President,
I had just sent you the letter for June when we found out that an important new element had been discovered that shows that the Cuban Five (René González, Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernández, Fernando González and Antonio Guerrero), who are political prisoners in the United States for eleven years and ten months now, were misjudged. Yes indeed, during the court case concerning the members of the Avispa network in Miami, a serious business of corruption among several Florida newspaper reporters took place.
The reporters covering the case, from December of 1999 to December 2001, had been bought off by the federal government of Florida. These unscrupulous reporters had been paid to publish hateful articles and reports likely to set the public opinion against the Cubans and also against Cuba, during the court case.
The North American National Committee for the Liberation of the Cuban Five investigated during eighteen months in order to bring these facts to light. I don’t need to give you either the names of the reporters incriminated or the amounts of money they received, as this information was already transmitted by the Committee during Public Prosecutor Eric Holder’s petition, based on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
A minimum of respect for the professional code of ethics should have kept these reporters from being bought off, but the Florida government that bribed them is at least as guilty as them, if not more so.
From that moment, the Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which guarantees a fair judgment before an impartial jury was flouted. During the Cuban Five court case, the jury’s opinions were influenced by these corrupted reporters’s coverage, and the verdict was thusly falsified. This, by the way, was what they were looking to do! Public opinion had been forged by intentionally falsified information, and the judges of the Atlanta Appeals Court were probably taken in also by this disinformation.
In the face of such a violation of the law, we ask you, Mister President of the United States, to do all you can so that the five Cubans (René González, Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernández, Fernando González and Antonio Guerrero), can finally benefit from true justice that they have deserved for close to twelve years. We hope to see them quickly freed, as they should have been from the beginning.
It is unthinkable that these courageous and worthy men stay locked up any longer. Please believe, Mister President, in my most sincere humanitarian sentiments.

I thought it strange that REDDIT suddenly think that my posts are unpopular and restrict my access.
Since starting up my site in May 2010 a large amount of traffic was sent from REDDIT recommended
by visitors. So in June, I started adding some posts to REDDIT. Everything was going fine, even
posts I had about the Israeli attack on the Gaza flotilla. Then a week ago I got this message after submitting another post with “Israel” in the title…
“You’ve submitted several links recently that haven’t been doing very well.
You’ll have to wait a while before you can submit again, or write to the moderators of this
reddit and ask for an exemption.”
May be the posts were too popular ? REDDIT was 4th in the list of best refferers. I couldn’t
understand why. So I checked on REDDIT.COM….

Airport body scanners ‘could give you cancer’, warns expert
Full body scanners at airports could increase your risk of skin cancer, experts warn.
The X-ray machines have been brought in at Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow.
But scientists say radiation from the scanners has been underestimated and could be particularly risky for children.
They say that the low level beam does deliver a small dose of radiation to the body but because the beam concentrates on the skin – one of the most radiation-sensitive organs of the human body – that dose may be up to 20 times higher than first estimated.

Last night I was compelled to watch the much advertised and hyped Duncan Stewart Scary Story Spoof ‘A Burning Question’. This was the worst hour of television I’ve forced myself to watch since Al Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Lie’ global warming mockumentary.
To say this was biased in favour of the global warming lobby would be an understatement akin to saying that Josef Stalin was a naughty little boy.

As one lie followed another, I found this extremely hard viewing. In a conflict of emotions between outrage and hysterical laughter at the absurdity of the propaganda being pushed, I found myself at the end utterly disgusted as the rant of Stewart, his lackey pseudo scientists and imbecilic journalists such as John Gibbons ex of The Irish Times made me totally disgusted by these people.

Toxic Beaches: Blisters on Mouth, Sore Throats, Lung Problems; Danger to City Water Supplies; Gov Approves Decontamination Centers

In a previous story we noted that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) says that everyone should avoid oil and spill-affected areas.
Casey Nunez, a Louisiana resident, visited Pensacola beach in the last 48 hours.
He reports that 400 people on the beach became sick with a variety of problems like blisters, sore throat and lung problems, symptoms that Nunez himself says that he experienced, going as far as to show the blister on his tongue in the video below.
Nunez says that Florida officials, fully aware of the prior day’s incident involving sick beach goers, have actually deemed the beaches safe in Pensacola by changing the red danger flags on the beach to yellow, with Beach Patrol reportedly saying that they have everything under control.
Nunez also reports something we’ve discussed in prior articles regarding contamination of drinking water supplies as a result of this oil leak and dispersants being used for clean-up. In addition, the boats being used to help with the oil spill are docking in the Mississippi river and Nunez says this will lead to contamination of the water supply:
Israel launches airstrikes on Gaza

Israeli aircraft have fired five rockets at the Gaza Strip, striking three targets, witnesses and Palestinian security officials say.
Israeli F-16 aircraft fired two rockets at a airport in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah early Thursday.
The rockets hit the Yasser Arafat Airport, which is currently not in service, in southern Gaza. The same airport was also hit in February.
Another strike targeted an official Hamas base in the center of the coastal strip. There are no reports of casualties in either of the attacks.
Over the past three years, Israel has killed hundreds of Palestinians in airstrikes targeting civilian and official buildings.
Three other rockets were fired on areas belonging to Hamas’ armed-wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, including underground tunnels used by Gaza residents to bring in essential commodities banned by the Israeli government, dpa quoted Palestinian security officials as saying.

UK church boycotts Israel WB products

A UK church has unanimously voted to boycott Israeli products in a show of protest against Tel Aviv’s illegal settlements on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank.
The Methodist Church of Britain on Wednesday announced a decision to boycott Israeli-produced goods and services from the West Bank because of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories which “a majority of governments recognize… as illegitimate under international law,” The Jerusalem Post reported.
The move came in response to calls from the World Council of Churches, the Palestinian civil society and “a growing number of Jewish organizations in Israel and worldwide,” the church stated at its annual conference in Portsmouth.
The conference extended it call on the Methodist people across the UK “to support and engage with this boycott of Israeli goods emanating from illegal settlements.”

Biologists find ‘dead zones’ around BP oil spill in Gulf

Scientists are confronting growing evidence that BP‘s ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico is creating oxygen-depleted “dead zones” where fish and other marine life cannot survive.
In two separate research voyages, independent scientists have detected what were described as “astonishingly high” levels of methane, or natural gas, bubbling from the well site, setting off a chain of reactions that suck the oxygen out of the water. In some cases, methane concentrations are 100,000 times normal levels.

− he was approached by a security officer and was requested to provide identification,
− he indicated that he was not carrying identification because he was working undercover as a
peace officer,
− later a warrant was issued for his arrest by officers from the Toronto Police Service,
− the accused was about to board a plane at Toronto Pearson International Airport when he
was arrested by officers from Peel Regional Police.

After speaking with George Ure about the current events as of today, and having run into a wall of confusion, and misunderstanding between us over certain forecasts and the language and the tension values, i thought it wise to post this small article and a chart in aid of the confusion, either to increase, or decrease.
The issue is the July 11th break into 18 and a half hours of release language. George, and apparently others, are under the impression that some big ‘thing’ would happen on that date. This may well be the case, however, note that the release language (all the downward slanting lines in the charts below) continues all summer as punctuations to building tension. So the pattern from July 11th through to November 8th is one of building tension and then release of tension, almost on a daily basis. Note that this is the USUAL state of our charts for the planet. What is unusual is that we have been in a very long period of building tension for these past few months. What is also unusual is the ‘tipping point’ that is forecast to occur over 4 days in November from the 8th through the 11th inclusive. Then what is even more unusual is that the release language continues unabated, without deviation for over 2 months, from November 11th through to January 23rd. Please note some slight distortion in the charting software related to fonts alters the dates placement visually. The above dates are from the raw data, not from charting.
