David Icke – What the Controllers really fear
Mass-NON-Compliance……Shhh…pass it on.
“Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of leaders…and millions have been killed because of this obedience…Our problem is that people are obedient allover the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves… (and) the grand thieves are running the country. That’s our problem.” Howard Zinn.
National Citizenship Service for 16-year-olds launched today – Hitler Youth
Every teenager in the country will today be invited to take part in a two-month summer residential course under plans for voluntary programme of national service.
The “National Citizen Service” will bring together 16-year-olds from different backgrounds and around the country to become community volunteers and join in outdoor pursuits.
David Cameron has said that he hopes participation in the non-military, voluntary form of national service will become a “rite of passage” for all teenagers.
It is being announced by Francis Maude, the Cabinet Office Minister, as part of the Government’s drive to create a “Big Society” of volunteers.
While critics have cast doubt over whether teenagers would be prepared to give up their summer holidays to participate in the programme, the scheme is close to the Prime Minister’s heart.
He was a member of the cadet force while at Eton College, and has also spoken of how much he enjoyed volunteering to help shop for local elderly people while at school. He wants the Service to become one of the “proudest legacies” of his Government.
As well as giving 16-year-olds a sense of “purpose, optimism and belonging,” Mr Cameron has said that he hopes that the scheme will promote a sense of greater community cohesion.
US media conspired to give pro-Obama coverage. Still, at least it could never happen here
President Obama (Photo: EPA)
So the liberal elite and “lamestream media”, (©Sarah Palin) did fix the US election after all. A scandal is breaking across the pond over a bunch of Obama-supporting journalists in a group called Journolist who, it turns out, discussed deflecting attention away from the Rev Jeremiah Wright scandal in 2008. Their apparently private missives, just leaked, are an eye-opener into how anti-conservative smearing works.
Says the Wall Street Journal:
According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.
One Journolist member, Spencer Ackerman, encapsulated the entire strategy of the Left media over the past 40 years:
I do not endorse a Popular Front, nor do I think you need to. It’s not necessary to jump to Wright-qua-Wright’s defense. What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger’s [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically.
BP admits it ‘Photoshopped’ official images as oil spill ‘cut and paste’ row escalates
BP has ordered staff to stop manipulating photographs of its Gulf of Mexico oil spill response, as the row over its public relations campaign intensifies.

The oil giant was forced to issue new guidelines to staff to “refrain from doing (sic) cutting-and-pasting” after several official company images were found to have been doctored.
BP admitted on Thursday that it “Photoshopped” some of its official images that were posted on its website and vowed to stop the embarrassing practice.
Nick Clegg’s ‘illegal’ Iraq war gaffe prompts legal warning
Coalition in confusion as deputy prime minister pronounces invasion ‘illegal’ at dispatch box
Nick Clegg labels Iraq war ‘illegal’. Link to this videoNick Clegg was tonight forced to clarify his position on the Iraq war after he stood up at the dispatch box of the House of Commons and pronounced the invasion illegal.
The deputy prime minister insisted he was speaking in a personal capacity, as a leading international lawyer warned that the statement by a government minister in such a formal setting could increase the chances of charges against Britain in international courts.
Philippe Sands, professor of law at University College London, said: “A public statement by a government minister in parliament as to the legal situation would be a statement that an international court would be interested in, in forming a view as to whether or not the war was lawful.”
The warning came after a faltering performance by Clegg in the Commons when he stood in for David Cameron at prime minister’s questions. The deputy prime minister made an initial mistake when he announced that the government would close the Yarl’s Wood centre as it ends the detention of children awaiting deportation. The Home Office was forced to issue a statement saying that the family unit at Yarl’s Wood would close but that the rest of the centre would remain open.
Shortly before that slip-up, Clegg threw the government’s position concerning the legality of the Iraq war into confusion when, at the end of heated exchanges with Jack Straw, foreign secretary at the time of the war, Clegg said: “We may have to wait for his memoirs, but perhaps one day he will account for his role in the most disastrous decision of all: the illegal invasion of Iraq.”
Clegg’s remarks could be legally significant because he was standing at the government dispatch box in the Commons.
Downing Street played down the significance of the remarks by issuing a statement saying that he was expressing his “long-held view” about the Iraq conflict. In an attempt to avoid speculation about splits with Cameron, who voted in favour of the war, Downing Street added that the government would await the findings of the Chilcot inquiry before reaching a view on the war.
Ships ready to leave leaky well as storm brews
Crew members aboard dozens of ships in the Gulf of Mexico prepared Thursday to evacuate as a tropical rainstorm brewing in the Caribbean brought the deep-sea effort to plug BP’s ruptured oil well to a near standstill.
Though the rough weather was hundreds of miles from the spill site and wouldn’t enter the Gulf for at least a few more days, officials ordered technicians trying to plug BP’s well to stand down because they needed several days to clear the area.
Anxiety built among the 75-member crew aboard the cutter Decisive, the Coast Guard’s primary search and rescue vessel that would be the last of about 65 ships to leave in the event of an evacuation.
“It’s a controlled chaos out there,” Lt. Patrick Montgomery told an Associated Press reporter aboard the cutter heading from Pascagoula, Miss., to the spill site.
Just days before the expected completion of a relief well designed to permanently throttle the free-flowing crude, the government’s spill chief said Wednesday that work was suspended.

BP trying to legally ‘contaminate’ Gulf scientists: report

A BP plan to hire Gulf scientists could mean that there are fewer experts to testify against them when the oil spill case goes to trial.
The University of South Alabama turned down a BP offer to hire the entire marine science department after they obtained a copy of the contracts. Mobile’s Press-Register reports:
The Press-Register obtained a copy of a contract offered to scientists by BP. It prohibits the scientists from publishing their research, sharing it with other scientists, or speaking about the data that they collect for at least the next three years.
BP plans to fight a lawsuit to be filed by the Natural Resources Damage Assessment, according to Press-Register‘s Ben Raines. Putting Gulf scientists on the payroll could mean there are less experts to testify against them.

West Midlands Police appoints fox to review CCTV chicken coop

The announcement by West Midlands Police of a so-called “independent review” of Project Champion [1] shows a complete lack of understanding of what an independent review is. In what way is the Vice Chair of the body that funded the ill conceived CCTV scheme “independent”?
Project Champion is a controversial network of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and CCTV cameras east of Birmingham city centre. The project was financed by the Association of Chief Police Officers Terrorism and Allied Matters Committee (ACPO – TAM).
The “independent review” will be carried out by the Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police, Sara Thornton, who just happens to be Vice Chair of the Association of Chief Police Officers Terrorism and Allied Matters Committee (ACPO – TAM) [2].

You’ve Come to Collect Your ID Card Sir? Can I See Some Identification?
When is a National ID Card not a National ID Card?
Last week Ireland’s state broadcasting news network, RTE reported that next year the government is going to issue every adult in the country with a new PPS Identity Card starting with the unemployed and pensioners first.
Your PPS number is the number you receive when you are registered at birth and this is not a new idea at all.
Two decades ago all adults over the age of 18 received these cards which most still carry and need for social welfare purposes.
So what’s wrong with the old card?
Well to start with it does not have a photo, chip or pin. It’s just a regular mag (magnetic) strike card with limited information on board to be
accessed when needed. It’s not really an ID card but merely a social welfare information card. However, the 2nd generation card will be fitted with all the mod cons of the identity world; photo, chip and pin encrypted, embedded info and will treble up as a bus pass for pensioners and as a medical card which can hold whatever other info may be needed at any time in the future, such as what a criminal record of political affiliation which can be conveniently accessed by whichever government or private authority at that time is authorised to do so.

Anonymous ISP launched by Sweden’s Pirate Party
by wconeybeer, myce beta

Sweden’s political Pirate Party has launched their own internet service provider, Pirate ISP. The new broadband service is promising to provide anonymity, privacy, and protection to its customers by keeping no logs of user’s personal data.
The Pirate Party was founded in 2006 with the goal of reforming copyright and patent laws while supporting privacy rights. They recently made headlines with a plan to host The Pirate Bay on their own servers. Pirate ISP is the party’s latest attempt at supporting file-sharers in Sweden.
The service will actually be operated by ViaEuropa, the company that hosts anonymous VPN service iPredator for The Pirate Bay. A two-week beta test of approximately 100 users is currently taking place, with a planned expansion to 5% of the broadband market in the city of Lund. A roll-out to the rest of Sweden is expected to happen in the next few months.
When confronted about possible backlash from record companies and anti-piracy agencies, CEO Gustav Nime responded by saying “They can bring on whatever they have, we will refuse to follow there. We don’t agree with what they are saying and we don’t agree with the laws they are making so if they have an issue with us, then we will have an issue — but that’s it.”
The big question is how Pirate ISP plans to address concern over serious criminal activity that is bound to occur with a truly anonymous service. Sweden’s anti-piracy bureau has indicated that, in the event of an investigation, the ISP would have to hand over user information. If logs are truly not being kept, there would be nothing to hand over.
It will be interesting to see how this story evolves over the coming months as Pirate ISP’s claims of complete user anonymity, and the legality of such a service, are put to the test.
Billionaire Pedophile Goes Free
by Conchita Sarnoff
Hedge fund mogul Jeffrey Epstein becomes a free man today, five years after he was first accused of sexually abusing underage girls. After months of reporting, The Daily Beast’s Conchita Sarnoff reveals exclusive details of the investigation and the legal wrangling that saved him from a long prison term. She reports:
• Palm Beach’s police chief objected to Epstein’s “special treatment” and gave The Daily Beast an exclusive look at his nine-hour deposition about the investigation.
• Earlier versions of the U.S attorney’s charges, including a sealed 53-page indictment, could have landed Epstein in prison for 20 years.
• Victims alleged that Epstein molested underage girls from South America, Europe, and the former Soviet republics, including three 12-year-old girls brought over from France as a birthday gift.
• The victims also alleged trips out of state and abroad on Epstein’s private jets, which would be evidence of sex trafficking—a much more serious federal crime than the state charges Epstein was convicted of.
• Epstein’s attorneys investigated members of the Palm Beach Police Department, while others ordered private investigators to follow and intimidate the victims’ families; one even posed as a police officer.
• Then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales told The Daily Beast that he “would have instructed the Justice Department to pursue justice without making a political mess.”
Film director Roman Polanski is not the only convicted pedophile to walk free this month and return to a life of privilege. On Wednesday, hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein completes his one-year house arrest in Palm Beach, which has been even less arduous than Polanski’s time at a Swiss ski chalet.
During Epstein’s term of “house arrest,” he made several trips each month to his New York home and his private Caribbean island. In the earlier stage of his sentence for soliciting prostitution with a minor—13 months in the Palm Beach Stockade—he was allowed out to his office each day. Meanwhile, Epstein has settled more than a dozen lawsuits brought by the underage girls who were recruited to perform “massages” at his Palm Beach mansion. Seven victims reached a last-minute deal last week, days before a scheduled trial; each received well over $1 million—an amount that will hardly dent Epstein’s $2 billion net worth.
With that, the known victims of Epstein’s sexual compulsion have been officially silenced, and the case against him is closed unless new ones come forward. According to banking sources, he has been moving assets out of the U.S. and may well follow Polanski into a luxurious exile.

Is anyone still confused as to why we continue the absurd wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
In Afghanistan, the Director of the CIA has openly boasted that fewer than 100 Al Qaida members remain there, yet there are reportedly 102,000 U.S servicemen and at least 120,000 private contractors still stationed there. Incidentally, the recent “discovery” of vast mineral deposits is being touted as a new justification to stay.
Meanwhile in Iraq, with all justifications for the war now totally debunked, the slow drawdown of troops is commencing, but not before they secure the prize for the corporate masters. The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that British Petroleum was “awarded” 80-100 oil wells worth at least $500 million:
British oil major BP PLC (BP, BP.LN) and partners China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC.YY) and Iraq’s state-run South Oil Co. expect to issue tenders to drill between 80 and 100 wells in the immense Rumaila oil field this year and next year, a company executive said Monday.
Earlier this year, BP awarded three deals valued at least $500 million to drill 49 wells as part of the program to develop Iraq’s largest-producing oil field, which could become the world’s second-largest.
‘For the next-year drilling contracts, we are expected to award them this year,’ the official said on the sidelines of an oil symposium concluded in Baghdad on Monday
