Americans occupy congressmen offices

Hundreds of anti-Wall Street demonstrators have gathered at US lawmakers’ offices to protest against corporate influence on Washington’s corridors of power.

On Thursday, activists, union members, and other protesters staged sit-ins at the offices of congressmen, including House Speaker John Boehner, AFP reported.

Protesters have been staging three consecutive days of rallies across Washington under the slogan Take back the Capitol.

Demonstrators say Washington has been corrupted by lobbyists and big businesses.

The protesters are targeting the offices of some 100 lawmakers, who oppose raising taxes on the rich and bills aimed at creating jobs.
